Conditions were tougher today as the winds picked up and Michael's round reflected it. He posted 6 birdies for the day including three in a row at the turn but he also had four bogeys. After reaching ten under par he gave two shots back on his 13th and 16th holes. He made a crucial birdie on his last hole to move back to 9 under par and, more importantly, inside the all important PGA Tour card cutoff of 25th or better.
Commenting on his round via Twitter Michael said
Salvaged my round on the last hole today. And from what I hear, yall saw it on tv! Now I'm gonna get some putting practice in and then rest. For those of you who didn't "see it", here's his birdie on his last of hole of the day as seen on the Golf Channel.
Tomorrow is the last day of the "toughest tournament out there" and Michael is trying to finish inside the top 25 to earn a PGA tour card for 2011. When Q-School started there were 1239 applicants vying for those 25 cards and right now only 21 golfers are in front of Michael - a remarkable feat but the job isn't done for another 18 holes.
The final round of Q-School wraps up tomorrow and will be televised on the Golf Channel from 12:30-4:30 ET. Check you local listing.
