Michael Gets a Mention

Michael Thompson, the 2010 NGA/Hooters Tour Player of the Year, wasn’t left out of the birdie brigade, either. Thompson shot a 6-under 65 on the Panther Lake course and moved from T48 to T27.

The top 25 and ties at the conclusion of the six-round marathon will receive PGA Tour cards for the 2011 season. Currently, eight past and present NGA/Hooters Tour players are T25 or better, and two additional NGA alums are within one shot of the top 25. Players finishing 26th to 75th will receive Nationwide Tour cards for the 2011 season, and 26 current or former NGA/Hooters Tour players are in that category after the fourth round.
