Michael Thompson continued his strong play at the 3M Open in Blaine, Minnesota on Friday. He shot a five under par 66 and is tied for the lead with Richy Werenski at -12. Michael's superb golf has been propelled with strong iron and wedge play as well as his trademark strong putting. In fact he ranks second in the tournament in BOTH strokes gained approach to the green and strokes gained putting. He ranks third in the tournament in strokes gained tee to green.
He will be playing in Saturday's final group with Werenski and Tony Finau. They tee off at 1:00pm ET. Hopefully he'll get plenty of tee coverage for those of us following his round closely.
