The weekend at the RBC Canadian Open didn't quite go as planned for Michael Thompson. After finishing the second round in a tie for first, Michael had rounds of 74 and 76 to drop into a tie for 34th. Despite the drop down the leaderboard, the week was largely a positive for Michael. He gained some valuable experience, he made his fifth cut in a row, and he moved up to 106th on both the PGA Fedexcup points list and the PGA Tour money list. For the record, he is now ahead of Tiger Woods on both lists.
The RBC Canadian Open proved to be quite a challenge as only eight players were under par and the winning score was only -4 (accomplished by the eventual winner Sean O'Hair and Kris Blanks).
Michael Thompson and the rest of the PGA Tour head east to the Greenbrier Classic which is being held in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
