Late Surge Has Thompson in Tie for Lead

by Roz Roberts III

If you've been at work or under a rock for the last 6 hours or so, you might have missed Michael Thompson catch fire on the back 9 at the RBC Canadian Open.  He was one under for his front nine and started his back nine with 5 straight pars.  Par at the Shaughnessy Heights Golf Course is a great score.  Par is great but Michael decided to put his round into the phenomenal category as he went low over his last four holes - really low.  He birdied holes 15, 16, and 18 to grab a share of the current lead at -4.

We'll have more over the next few hours but here's the first report we've found on Michael round from the TOUR Report on PGATour.com
