Michael Thompson returns to Blaine, Minnesota this week to defend his title at the 3M Open.  He brings with him a slew of good memories from last year's tournament.

"It was a magical week. I was putting really nicely, my ball-striking was as good as it had been all year, and just had a really good feel around this golf course. It's my second time being around and just kind of everything went right. Played great, played real smart golf, didn't make too many mistakes, but I think what was key for me that week was my putting. I made a ton of putts, gave myself a ton of chances and just felt very comfortable on the greens. So far, I practiced yesterday and kind of feeling the same way this week, so I'm excited to tee it up."

This time will be a little different since he has his family with him and spectators will be back at the tournament.

"The kids are excited to be here. My son has been asking me when am I going to win another tournament because he wants to be there when it happens, so it's going to be a good week."

As the defending champion, Michael did a 30 minute press conference on Tuesday (the full video is linked below) and he will be in one of the featured groups with Matthew Wolf (the 2019 champion) and Patrick Reed.  They will tee off at 12:44pm local time (10:44am PT).

The group will be covered live on the PGA Tour live stream through NBC Sports Gold.  That's a paid service but I think we'll all get delayed video on a shot by shot basis using the 3D Leaderboard feature on PGATour.com (there is a link below).
