For the second time in two days, Michael Thompson posted a bogey free round at the Shell Houston Open and rode the great round to a tie for 12th finish.  Michael shot a four under par 68 in round four and finished the tournament at eight under par.  It was Michael's second consecutive top 15 finish.  He was also the only player in the tournament to go bogey free on the weekend where he finished his final 37 holes without a bogey.

Michael was over +10 in strokes gained putting and finished the tournament in second for that stat behind only the eventual winner Russell Henley.  Michael is now second in strokes gained putting on the PGA Tour for the year.

Michael now has five top 20 finishes on tour for the year.  He used this finish to move up to seventh on the reshuffle list and he is now 82nd on the FedexCup points list.
