An unlikely birdie helped Michael Thompson shoot a two under par 68 at the AT&T Byron Nelson on Thursday.  On the par three seventeenth hole, Michael's tee shot found the green but he was a long way from the hole.  In fact, he was a REALLY long way from the hole after his ball came to rest 84 feet and 9 inches away.  Despite it's distance, Michael's putt found the bottom of the cup for a very unlikely two.

After his two under round, Michael is currently tied for 21st heading into Friday's second round.  He tees off at 12:40pm CT with Jason Dufner and Ryan Palmer on Friday
