As the saying goes, 'driving's for show and putting's for dough.'
Michael Thomspon is looking to prove the old adage correct.
For the second day in a row, Michael's putter was red hot and it has propelled him into a tie for 12th at the Valpsar Championship. After shooting a two under par 69 today, he climbed up 33 spots on the leaderboard and he is now one under par for the tournament.
Today, Michael was +2.554 in strokes gained putting and that followed yesterday's +2.137. For the tournament, Michael is currently 7th in strokes gained putting and tied for 6th in putts per green in regulation.
Michael will look to keep his putter hot during Saturday's third round when he will be playing with Carl Petterson. They tee off from the first hole at 1:30pm ET.
Televison coverage tomorrow will be split between Golf Channel and NBC. Coverage will start on the Golf Channel at 1-3pm ET and then will continue on NBC from 3-6pm ET. While the normal coverage on NBC is going on, the Golf Channel will air "Spotlight Coverage" of holes 15, 16, and 17.
