Michael Thompson finished his first round at the CordeValle Golf Club in San Martin, California scoring a one under par, 70. After getting off to a slow start with three bogeys on the front nine, he turned the momentum in his favor, scoring four birdies on the back nine. The -1 overall score was good for a tie for 25th. A mere three shots behind the leaders, Michael is in good position to make a run for the top of the leaderboard in his start tomorrow. Michael tees off at 12:40 PM PST with Richard S. Johnson and co-leader Briny Baird.
